Restaurant, Old Kent Road

I have a general mistrust of anywhere that brands itself “exclusive”. It’s usually a good indicator that the place will be mundane with pretensions of greatness and will attract a crowd drawn to that word like moths, vainly hoping that some of the glitter from the word will rub off on them and elevate them from their lowly status as mere mortals and into something ethereal instead. I suppose I’m talking about nightclubs really, not African restaurants on the Old Kent Road.  But as Joe Brown, who sent in this picture, points out it’s probably healthy to have slight mistrust of any restaurant you see with an ambulance parked outside.
